Our Elders enjoyed a small day trip recently to Russell Cave. This cave is located close to our facility and is an education based state park. Upon there visit we watched a short video detailing the history of this beautiful place. We learned how the native americans crossed the great land bridge to America and migrated there way down to South America, but not without a few stray groups ( one of which made their home at this remarkable place in Alabama. The Elders then enjoyed a small stroll down a boardwalk that leads to the actual cave and took a little time just to enjoy the wonders of God and the wonderful things he has created. Taking a little time to slow down in life and enjoy the small things is something I think we can all learn from the Elders in our/their  homes.
