The Pirates Pay Nursing Home Resident A Visit!

On December 3, 2009, the South Pittsburg Pirates coach, Vic Grider; quarterback, Terrell Robinson; and defensive lineman; Jiajuan Fennell visited The Bridge at South Pittsburg resident Jimmy Case!

Jimmy has a passion for football and for his favorite team, the South Pittsburg Pirates. On November 13, 2009, Jimmy had the opportunity to visit the high school and watched the Pirates play an awesome game. The team was so impressed with Jimmy and his support for the team that the coach, quarterback, and defensive lineman paid Jimmy a visit.

Jimmy Case, resident, stated, “My favorite part of the game is simply watching the players run onto the field. I get fired up. I’ve always followed the team and just being able to watch the boys play again is what I like. The gift that they gave me was the most special gift I have ever received!”
