The Bridge at South Pittsburg is pleased to have a simulated apartment for use with our rehab-to-home residents who are coming to stay with us for short-term rehabilitation stays. This apartment features a fully functioning kitchen with all major appliances, a bedroom with bed and nightstand, a fully functioning bathroom with sink, tub/shower combination, and dressing area as well as a laundry room with a working washing machine and dryer.Â
This apartment is a vital part of our therapy programs and plans of care with our short-term residents as it allows us to gain a good indication of how they will perform activities of daily living once they return to their homes. Additionally, this space is utilized for cooking groups and activities with our long-term residents who enjoy therapy activities involving food and use of the kitchen.
